Anyone aged 16 or over, with a valid identification document and a postal address in a Moneybase-supported country, is eligible to open a student account. Users aged 16 to 17 have access to all features, except for investments, which become available upon turning 18.

International students are also eligible, provided they reside in a supported country and can supply both a valid identification document and proof of address.

Opening a Moneybase Student Account is completely free, with no monthly fees. To open a Moneybase Student Account, simply download the app, complete your verification, and set up your account in minutes.

Your Moneybase Student Account will be ready for use in just a few minutes, after the onboarding has been completed and your account verified/approved.

After opening your Moneybase Student Account, click on the ‘Details’ button on the Home page of the Moneybase app, copy the IBAN, and use it when filling in your maintenance grant details.

Once you receive your first stipend into your Moneybase Student Account, we will fund your account with a €60 bonus! If you have already received the stipend bonus in previous years, you will not be eligible again. However, you may still qualify for a €75 salary bonus.

Yes, students aged 18 or over can invest in stock, bonds, funds, cash funds, ETFs, and more, directly through the Moneybase app or web platform.

If you’re under 18 years old, you can still open a Moneybase Student Account and access all other features, but investment services will only become available once you reach 18 years of age, in line with regulatory requirements.
