What is Mastercard Day?
Mastercard Day is a nationwide cashback promotion by Mastercard, running on Tuesdays. Pay €40 or more in a single in-store purchase at a supermarket or grocery store with your Moneybase Mastercard and get €10 cashback. Each card can earn up to two cashbacks during the campaign, so up to €20 per card.
How does it work?
Shop on a Tuesday (only in-store)
Use your Moneybase Mastercard at any supermarket or grocery shop. Your physical card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Xiaomi Pay and wearables are all valid.
Reach €40 or more in a single purchase
The €40 must be spent in a single transaction. Smaller purchases that add up to €40 do not count.
Get up to €10 back per card each month
Your cashback is credited to your Moneybase account once the transaction clears. Each card can earn up to two cashbacks, up to €20 in total.
On top of your usual cashback
Mastercard Day is separate from the Moneybase cashback programme. Your purchases keep earning your standard Moneybase cashback, and Mastercard Day adds €10 on top, so you benefit from both.
No sign-up, no app activation, no code. Be amongst the first to spend €40 at grocery stores and supermarkets and the cashback will appear in your Moneybase account as “MastercardDay Cashback”.

A few things to keep in mind
- Only in-store purchases count. Online orders and delivery apps such as Wolt and Bolt Food are not included.
- The €40 must be spent in a single purchase at a supermarket or grocery store in Malta.
- Each card can earn a maximum of two cashbacks, up to €20 in total.
- This promotion is separate from our Moneybase cashback programme and you can earn both simultaneously.
