Cashback is available to Maltese residents holding a Moneybase card. All cardholders are automatically enrolled from day one, with no conditions and no expenses whatsoever.
Cashback is available across all currencies however it is credited to your Euro account every Monday, covering purchases made the previous Monday to Sunday.

Please bear in mind that card transactions must settle at Mastercard first, and there is a delay between when you make a card payment and when the cashback for that transation is paid. This is normal and you will receive payment when the transaction settles with Mastercard. Settlement is usually can take anywhere between 1 day 30 days.
We are working on adding cashback details for every transaction in the moneybase app and on our web portal.
If for any reason your transaction is reversed we will also reverse the cashback.
Please note that some categories do not earn cashback: ATM withdrawals and cash, money transfers and payment services, gambling and betting, fines and government payments, and postal services. See the Cashback Terms & Conditions.
All cardholders earn 0.75% cashback up to €15/month. For clients who have a total balance of €5,000 or more including cash and investment holdings, the rate is boosted to 1.25% and up to €25/month. This applies automatically.
The boost rate is calculated using the original cost of your investments rather than their live market value, so market movements do not affect the rate.
Eligible purchases include online, contactless, chip and PIN, and tokenised transactions at domestic and cross-border merchants.
ATM withdrawals, money transfers, and certain transaction categories such as cash-equivalent, payment service providers, and gambling transactions do not earn cashback.
