Most transfers are completed within the same day. However, depending on the recipient’s country and bank, some transfers may take up to 3-5 business days.
Yes, you can track your transfer in real-time through your Moneybase account. Additionally, we’ll notify you via email and app notifications as soon as the money reaches the recipient’s bank account.
Moneybase offers low, transparent fees for international transfers. When you choose a Shared SWIFT transfer, you incur a fee of just €5. Alternatively, selecting the Originator Fee option means you cover both your own and the recipient’s bank charges, which would cost €17.50.
Before confirming your transaction, you’ll see the exact cost and exchange rate, ensuring full transparency.
If you are sending money in EURO to European no transfer fees will be applied to your SEPA transfer, regardless of the amount transferred.

You can send money abroad from Malta using SWIFT or SEPA transfers.
SWIFT (outside the EU)
1. Open or download our app for iOS or Android and create an account if you haven’t already—it only takes a few minutes to get approved.
2. Tap on “Pay” and select the beneficiary, or click “New” to add a beneficiary.
3. Select the currency and enter the amount you wish to transfer.
4. Choose between “Shared Fee” or “Originator Fee.”
5. Once you’re ready, swipe to make the payment.
6. You’ll see a “Payment Successful” screen.
SEPA PAYMENTS (In the EU)
1. Open or download our app for iOS or Android and create an account if you haven’t already—it only takes a few minutes to get approved.
2. Tap on “Pay” and select the beneficiary, or click “New” to add a beneficiary.
3. Enter the amount in euros you’d like to send.
4. Once you’re ready, swipe to make the payment.
5. You’ll see a “Payment Successful” screen.
Yes, your money is safe with Moneybase, since we are not a bank, we do not lend any of the money that you place in your payment account or your electronic money account. As a result, your money is always protected. Moneybase is also licensed and regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority.
