You can check these rates via our currency conversion tool in the app before making a payment or currency conversion. The same FX rate applies for in-app currency exchanges, bank payments, and card payments in foreign currencies.

Yes, the new rates will apply when using the Moneybase Mastercard in another country, regardless of whether you’re making a payment in person, online, or sending a SWIFT bank transfer.

To convert currencies, simply follow these steps:

1. Open or download our app for iOS or Android and create an account if you haven’t done so already, it only takes a few minutes to get approved.

2. Go to the “Exchange” section which can be accessed from the home screen on both the app and the web platform.

3. Select the currencies you want to convert from and to.

4. Enter the amount you wish to exchange

5. Review the exchange rate and feel free to compare it.

6. Tap “Confirm Order” to complete the transaction. Once done, you can switch between wallets directly from the home screen.

There are no maximum or minimum amounts for currency exchange. You can exchange any amount without restrictions.

Yes, it is safe, because there are several regulatory restrictions intended to safeguard your account against the risks to which your money can be exposed. Since we are a financial institution, we do not lend any of the money that you place in your account, and as a result, your money is always protected. Learn more here.

We use multi-factor authentication to make sure you are the only one who can log in to your account, and we’ll send you anti-fraud warnings in-app if we suspect that a transfer may be a scam. We also protect your personal data with our full-stack security systems. Additionally, we use several other security methods to ensure your account is only accessed by you.

For the lowest possible currency exchange rates, we recommend exchanging currency between Monday and Friday before 10 PM.

During the weekend, from Friday at 10 PM until Sunday at midnight (00:00), exchange rates are higher.
